John Boever, O.D.

Dr. John Boever has lived in Nebraska since the sixth grade and Lincoln has been home for the last 23 years. After graduating from Creighton Prep, he attended The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. for two years and then graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a biology major. During the next four years he attended Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry, and graduated in 2006. Dr. Boever received extensive training in all aspects of primary eye care; including eye infections, cataracts, diabetic eye care, specialty contact lenses and pediatrics. Dr. Boever spent 13 years as the optometrist at Shopko. Dr. Boever immensely enjoys helping his patients find the best options for their vision and health and he is very excited for this opportunity to continue serving his patients.

Dr. Boever loves spending time with his wife, Lindsay, and children, Dominic, Lillie, Rose, Zellie, Vianney, Clairvaux, Damaris, Kapaun, Lourdes, Belen, and Cassian. Dr. Boever is an avid runner and enjoys when the whole family can get out with the triple running jogger and the bikes!

Jeanine Stevens, ABOC

Jeanine has over 28 years of experience serving Lincoln’s optical needs. For the last 24 years, Jeanine was an optical manager for Shopko Optical and now brings that experience and dedication to Boever Family Eyecare. Jeanine has been an American Board of Opticianry certified optician since 1996.

Jeanine grew up in Hastings, Nebraska and has raised her family and built a career here in Lincoln. Jeanine loves her work, she likes to help people find the best solution for their eyecare needs. Jeanine enjoys being outdoors walking or biking and spending time with family; husband Bill, two sons, two daughters-in-law and three very lively granddaughters. Jeanine is a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
